Lesson Purpose
The purpose of this lesson is for students to add and subtract within 20 without composing or decomposing a ten.
Lesson Narrative
In previous lessons, students learned the 1
- Explain (orally and with words or other representations) strategies for finding the number that makes addition and subtraction equations within 20 true.
- Explain (orally) strategies for solving a Take From, Result Unknown problem where a one-digit number is subtracted from a teen number.
